Life reflections of Elizabeth Heyward

Elizabeth Beatrice (Betty) Heyward was born on September 27,

Elizabeth Greene. After their demise, she was raised by her

grandmother, the late Mamie Greene. Elizabeth accepted Jesus

Christ as her Lord and personal savior at an early age and was

raised in a Christian home.

She attended the Bayonne School System and was a graduate of

Bayonne High School; she also attended Berkeley Business

School in New York City.

On June of 1960, she married Henry Mainor from Jersey City,

NJ, from this union three children were born, Henry V. Mainor,

Medea Mainor and Gerard A. Mainor.

Elizabeth was a dedicated and loving mother and wife, who

protected her family daily.

In her professional life, Elizabeth worked at various jobs, to take

care of her family, to name a few, AT&T, Post Office, First

After the death of her first husband, Elizabeth took care of her

kids as a single mother for a few years, until she met Joseph

Heyward, her second husband.

From that marriage, Joseph had three children of his own,

Jenerou, Fernando, and Rhenata, together they were
affectionately known as the “the Brady Bunch” who later shared

a life in Florida.

Elizabeth enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved having a great

time with her family and friends and often gave advice to them.

Although her outward appearance was flawless, it was her kind

heart that shined through. Elizabeth was also an international

traveler, who enjoyed seeing different parts of the world, such as

Africa, Sudan and Tahiti to name a few.

earthly life from congestive heart failure. Her physical body is
